let's go fly a kite

We had a few days to hang out in California after our little babymoon, so what better thing to do then take the girls for their first kite-flying lesson? It was a stormy day at Montana De Oro Beach, perfect for kite flying (Although, after Mexico and Belize, I was wishing we'd brought some hot chocolate!)

They quite obviously loved it. Good call, grandma. On the way home Jeff wanted to take pictures of the moon:

Mine, to the right, and his, below.
I left the shutter open for about a
year because I wanted the tree and the hill in there too, he went for a quicker shutter speed so he could preserve the crescent shape of the moon (I guess that was the reasoning anyway) My attempt had us trying to stabilize the camera on the top of the car with cars flying by on the highway at 60mph though.

Is this really California?! It was warm in Paso, but weather on the coast was yuck.

Definitely my daughter

Aili has been making annoying pouty faces at me lately when she is displeased with something. I took photographic evidence, and asked her,
"which girl do you wanna look like?"

Pretty easy choice right?

Peek-a-boo, I see Andie Lu!

Another great trip. Now, if only I had a private jet, so I could go every week. And a crap ton of Zofran, since I get sick on small planes. And I guess a pilot, too. Hmmm. Not in this lifetime.   :-)

Um, your picture skills are getting pretty stinkin' amazing. Aili's faces crack me up. I dunno, I kinda want to be the pouty Aili. She's cute too.

Aili looks exactly like you when I met you, I swear. It gives me weird flashbacks sometimes.

I love your new camera. These photos of the girls are great! They look so natural I almost feel like I am there. Darling girls- all three- I mean four- of you! And the one of Jeff and Andie at the end is especially sweet.
